"A Journey Through Egypt: Pyramids, Pharaohs, and Unforgettable Luxury"

Our Egyptian adventure began with an unforgettable stay in Giza, where we soaked in the magic of the pyramids, sailed down the Nile, and explored the hidden stories of ancient Egypt. Here’s a glimpse into our incredible trip – and why Egypt should be next on your travel bucket list.

Giza: Where Ancient Wonders Meet Modern Comfort

We arrived late in Giza, checking into the K Luxor Hotel, a 3-star gem with the most stunning view I’ve ever experienced. The drive up to the hotel felt a bit sketchy, but any hesitation melted away the moment we walked into our breathtaking suite – three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a spacious living room, and a full kitchen! The crowning jewel? Our private patio overlooked the majestic Pyramids of Giza. Waking up to the sight of one of the Seven Wonders of the World is surreal – photos truly don’t do it justice.

Our guide picked us up bright and early the next morning, and we were off to Cairo's Egyptian Museum. Now, I’ve been to a lot of museums, but this one was truly something else. Entire walls were transported from the tombs of ancient kings, with intricate carvings and artwork that left me speechless. Oh, and the mummies! Seeing the preserved remains of pharaohs was both eerie and awe-inspiring. Our guide shared the real history of Egypt, opening our eyes to truths that go beyond the textbooks. Everything I thought I knew about ancient Egypt suddenly felt like a puzzle, and I was only just beginning to uncover the pieces.

Cruising the Nile: A Dream Come True

That evening, we embarked on a Nile River cruise, and let me tell you – sailing down the Nile River felt like stepping into a dream. Dinner was served as the boat glided through the water, and the show was filled with vibrant music, dancing, and a swirl of Egyptian culture. Sitting there, I couldn’t help but marvel at the fact that I was actually sailing on the very river that has been the lifeblood of Egypt for millennia. It was a pinch-me moment, one that I will never forget.

The Pyramids of Giza: A Mind-Blowing Experience

The next morning, we woke up with hearts racing, ready for the day that would take us to the iconic Pyramids of Giza. Seeing these ancient, towering structures in person was beyond anything I could have imagined. As our guide explained the history behind them, I was struck by the sheer scale of human ingenuity. How did they build these colossal structures without modern technology? The Sphinx stood in silent, eternal watch, and we posed for pictures – thanks to our guide, who also doubled as a fantastic photographer. I can’t recommend using a guide enough. Not only did he keep the hasslers and scammers at bay, but he also enriched the experience with stories that made the stones and sand come alive.

Lunch with a View: The Majestic Marriott Mena House

After exploring the pyramids, we stopped for lunch at the Marriott Mena House. This place is a palace disguised as a hotel – absolutely beautiful. We dined on incredible local cuisine while basking in views of the pyramids. It was a perfect way to reflect on the magic of the morning.

Learning Ancient Crafts: Papyrus Making

Our adventure didn’t stop there. That afternoon, we visited a papyrus workshop where we learned how to make paper the way the **ancient Egyptians** did. It was fascinating to see this ancient craft still practiced today. We picked up some unique souvenirs to take home – each piece of papyrus felt like a little piece of history.

City Stars Mall: A Night in Cairo’s Shopping Wonderland

To top off the evening, we headed to City Stars Mall, a behemoth of a shopping center with eight floors of shops, restaurants, and entertainment. This mall had it all – from snowboarding and tubing inside (yes, inside!) to a food court that rivaled any international hub. We spent hours exploring before heading back, and it’s safe to say this mall deserves its own spot on the tourist map.

Luxor: The Heart of Ancient Egypt

Next up was Luxor, and we stayed at the Blend Club Aqua Resort, an oasis in the desert. With water slides and private beaches along the Red Sea, it was the perfect blend of relaxation and fun. But the real stars of Luxor were the temples and tombs. We ventured into the legendary Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs were laid to rest, and the Temple of Hatshepsut, dedicated to one of Egypt's most powerful female rulers. Walking through these ancient structures felt like stepping back in time. You can feel the weight of history pressing down on you, and it’s impossible not to be humbled by the magnificence of these monuments.

R&R in El Gouna: The Red Sea Dream

For our final days in Egypt, we headed to El Gouna for some well-deserved R&R. Our stay at the Panorama Bungalows Resort was nothing short of paradise. The bungalows are perched over the Red Sea, offering unbeatable views, luxurious comfort, and a sense of serenity that washed over us the moment we arrived. The resort was affordable luxury at its finest – the rooms were stunning, and the food? Absolutely divine. They also had a party bus that would take you into the city and go clubing, they played 90’s R&B and Hip Hop music. They really know how to party in El Gouna. I could have stayed there forever, lounging by the sea and soaking in the beauty of Egypt.
